WHAT A YEAR.

Happy New Year, guys! I hope you all drank a bunch of champagne to ring in 2013. Bonus points for fireworks, noisemakers, sequins, and/or dancing. Insert a picture of a cool dog wearing a 2013 headband here. Or, how about a pic of Danielle's dog Ollie in our studio! She's a beaut.

Warning: I am gonna get a little sappy now...

We wanted to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone that helped make 2012 the most incredible year ever for Danielle and I. In May of 2012 we both took the plunge and left our day jobs to do Falconwright full time. In July of 2012 we both moved out of our leather cluttered home workspaces and rented a studio together. I never could have predicted that the collab project Danielle and I schemed up over beers a year and a half ago would eventually become our full time jobs.

(2012: the year we painted part of our bathroom coral pink!)

It's been a roller coaster of highs and lows and laughs and lessons (and snacks). Being a small business owner is always challenging, but definitely never boring. We both feel so lucky to be able to keep doing this every day! I'm not usually a big let's recap the year kinda gal, but this year has just been so different than every other year. It really stands out.

And we couldn't have done it without you. Thank you to our ever supportive, totally amazing friends - you guys are the greatest. Thank you to everyone who adopted a piece (or two! or three!) of our leather work - it's been so exciting, and totally mindblowing, to send mail all over the world. Thank you to all the kind bloggers and print outlets that took the time to write about what we've been making. Thank you to all the amazing stockists that have carried our stuff and have been so enthusiastic about carrying it. Thank you to all the talented people we've met online. I can't believe how many people we've been fans of that we got to cross paths with this past year - its been wild and so encouraging! And lastly, thanks to our hometown crew for being such a continuous source of motivation and good company.

Danielle and I are getting pumped to jump back into WORK MODE after some much enjoyed vacation time. We're gearing up to plan our spring collection, to work on new ideas, and to generally put our heads together and see how this whole year will unfold!

As Danielle predicted in a previous post, yes, we both got eachother necklaces for Christmas ;) She knew it! She always knows.
